Hey there, I'm Liya Grey
I am an aspiring author and host of the Write As Rain Podcast.
I believe that creative writing is good for the soul. Everyone could use a space to get into the writing mindset. While I'm in the middle of writing my own novels, I hope to help others by sharing my experiences along the way.

She/her
I have wanted to be a writer since I was 11 years old.
My dad used to take me to Barnes & Noble on the weekends so he could work. He would buy me a new book each time, and I would sit and read. I fell in love with reading.
In middle school, I used lined notebooks to write my own stories. I told myself then that if I could achieve one thing, it would be to become a fiction author.

Writing Tools: Scrivener
Since I discovered Scrivener in 2022, it has significantly changed my writing game. As a person who loves to organize but also has ADHD, Scrivener is the perfect tool for me. All of my notes are in one place, and I can use Scrivener on my phone, iPad, and MacBook Pro. When I did the free trial, I watched all the videos on how it works and found it super easy to dive in. There are different layouts and modes so you can make Scrivener work for you
Whether you plan or plunge, Scrivener works your way: hammer out every last detail before typing a word, or carve out a draft and restructure later. Or do a bit of both. All text sections in Scrivener are integrated with an easy-to-use project outline, so working with an overview of your manuscript is only ever a click away, and turning Chapter Four into Chapter One is as simple as drag and drop.
